May 7, Southern California Pelagic
The May 7 pelagic trip sponsored by the Los Angeles Audubon Society still

Saturday, May 7 - To Santa Barbara Island and the Osborne Banks. This 9 hour
trip departs from Island Packer's dock in Oxnard Harbor at 8 A.M. on the M/V
Vanguard to Santa Barbara Island and the Osborne Banks. Birds seen on prior
trips: Northern Fulmar; Black-vented, Sooty and Pink-footed shearwaters;
Parasitic and Pomarine jaeger; Sabine's Gull; rocky shorebirds (5); Common
Murre; Pigeon Guillemot; Xantus's Murrelet; Cassin's and Rhinoceros auklets.
Rarities: puffins (twice in 25 yrs.)
Leaders: Todd McGrath, Jon Feenstra and David Pereksta
