The alternate plumage male COMMON EIDER is still being seen in Crescent
City, Del Norte Co. on Sunday and Monday (7/11-12). The bird as been
reported near the end of Keller, but could probably show up anywhere
between Battery Point and Castle Rock feeding, loafing, or swiming around
off-shore rocks. Recent observations by Alan Barron and others suggest
that the bird is molting and may be around for awhile.
