      Recent bird sightings at Mono Lake (NOTHING UNUSUAL IN MY LIST, BELOW)

      - RED-NECKED PHALAROPE (many fewer than three weeks ago)
      - MARBLED GODWIT
      - GREEN-TAILED TOWHEE
      - BREWER'S SPARROW
      - RUDDY DUCK
      - EARED GREBE
      - CALIFORNIA GULL
      - SAGE SPARROW (Many near access road that traverse Rush Creek area)
      - ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER (many) (same area)
      - SAVANNAH SPARROW (near shoreline areas)
      - BEWICK'S WREN

      - Note: On way home through YOSEMITE NAT. PARK, no sighting or
      vocalization heard
      from GREAT GRAY OWL juvenile that I heard and observed three weeks ago.
