      Dear All,
In case any of you are visiting the North Coast, harboring birding
guests, just moved here, are monitoring wigeon migration, or just
decided to start a big year: There was a drake Eurasian Wigeon
present today, and easily viewed (on Bolinas Lagoon) from U.S. 1 at a
pullout c. 0.9 mi N of Beckers Groceries in Stinson Beach. There is a
sign 'OLEMA 13' on the east side of the road and a pullout on the
west side. Search the American Wigeon/Green-winged Teal/N. Pintail
flocks. Several Eurasian Wigeon wintered here; presumably this bird
is one of them. If you can't find it, check the various pullouts as
you continue northward toward Audubon Canyon Ranch.
      Best,
      Bob Behrstock
