      Calbirders:

Dan Murphy found a first-fall female CANADA WARBLER on the San Francisco CBC on Dec 27, and it is still being seen as of yesterday. Canada is a rare fall migrant, but this apparently wintering bird may be making history: Dunn and Garrett, in their Field Guide to Warblers of North America, state "There are no credible winter records for the U.S., although stragglers have been noted into December."

For those interested, the bird appears to have a regular circuit around the Wart Hog enclosure, working the flowering trees. Zoo admission is $10, which includes a map to help you find the wart hogs.

        CalBirders,

If you haven't heard, there is a subadult Brown Booby at Princeton Harbor,
Half Moon Bay, San Mateo County. It was found this morning by Ron Thorn
and seen by many all day. It was still there when I left about a half hour
        ago.

Look for it on the rock jetty directly south of the end of the main pier
(the one with all the commercial boats) in the harbor; behind the
        Morningstar commercial fish building.

        More information later.
