      Birders

Things are picking up here on San Clemente Island. A report of a Greater
Pewee found by John Brollini on 30-31 August, was unfortunately not refound
by others. A Black-throated Sparrow was at Lemon Tank 1 September.
Olive-sided Flycatcher at Lemon Tank 3 September. An Eastern Kingbird was
found and photographed at Lemon Tank 2 September. Up to 8 White-winged Doves
are present in Wilson Cove. Northern Harriers and White-tailed Kites have
begun to appear in the grasslands. No Burrowing Owls as of yet.

      All for now,
