      Sending a little reminder for Los Angeles Audubon Society and Pasadena Audubon Society who will be combining their monthly meetings to accommodate guest speakers from New York who will also be conducting a workshop (see below). LAAS is moving their monthly meeting date to Wednesday, October 16, 2013, and the meeting site will be Eaton Canyon Nature Center, 1750 N. Altadena Drive, Pasadena,  CA. Book sales, book signing and socializing begins at 6:30pm and the speakers start their talk at 7:30pm.  Refreshments will be served. Want to learn more about warbler ID, especially those fall plumages? Read on! 

      Tom Stephenson presents: "The Overlooked ID Points that Make Identifying Warblers Easier"

      Tom Stephenson and Scott Whittle have recently finished penning "The Warbler Guide".  Tom and Scott will speak at the monthly meeting of this new and exciting Princeton Press publication. It's filled with many photos and methods on warbler identification.  Their new book is receiving high praise. Tom and Scott will  talk about the book and warbler ID pointers. This evening promises to be enjoyable! All are welcome, no charge.

      On Saturday October 19, 2013, Tom and Scott will conduct: "Identifying and Learning Warbler Vocalizations" workshop and is SOLD OUT. To reserve your spot on the wait-list in case of a cancellation, mail  your check or money order to: Los Angeles Audubon—Workshop, Attn: Susan Castor, PO Box 411301, Los Angeles CA 90041, payable to Los Angeles Audubon Society.  Los Angeles Audubon Society will have the "The Warbler Guide" for sale at both events - CHECK OR CASH ONLY.
