      Note: all trips listed below are aboard the sportfishing vessel GRANDE at
      Point Loma Sportfishing. All prices are for bookings made 5 days or more
      ahead of sailing date. Late signups will be higher.

      April 13, 2013 (Sat. – 6 hr.) Coastal San Diego Co. Cost $45.
      A great beginner’s trip with a mix of early spring migrants and lingering
      winter birds. Peak season for newly split Scripps's Murrelet. Good for
      regular-occurring shearwaters, jaegers, and alcids.

      May 4, 2013 (Sat. – 12 hr.) 9-Mile & 30-Mile Banks majority San
      Diego Co., may briefly bird in L.A. Co. waters. Cost $55.
      Near peak of spring migration. Good chances for Black-footed
      Albatross and Ashy Storm-Petrel, possibly Red-billed Tropicbird
      and South Polar Skua. Likely are Scripps's Murrelet, Cassin's and
      Rhinoceros Auklets, variety of regular-occurring shearwaters,
      storm-petrels, phalaropes, and jaegers.

      May 18-19-20, 2013 (Sat., Sun., return 6 AM Mon. – 48 hr.)
      9-Mile & 30-Mile Banks, San Clemente Basin, Butterfly and/or
      Bell Banks, shelf edge well sw. of San Diego in ABA Area waters. Some
      birding in San Diego Co., most in L.A. Co. Cost $225.
      Good chances for Cook's Petrel, Laysan Albatross, Red-billed
      Tropicbird, South Polar Skua, Ashy Storm-Petrel. Likely are
      Black-footed Albatross, Leach's and Black Storm-Petrels,
      Sabine's Gull, Scripps's Murrelet, regular-occurring shearwaters,
      phalaropes, jaegers, alcids.

      June 16, 2013 (Sun. – 12 hr.) A rare "in fishing season" trip offshore in
      San Diego waters. San Diego Co. and some L.A. Co. Cost $55.
      Possibles include Black-footed Albatross, Red-billed
      Tropicbird, and Ashy Storm-Petrel. Likely are a variety of
      shearwaters, Black Storm-Petrel, and perhaps “late-season” Scripps's

      August 12-13-14, 2013 (Mon., Tue., return 3 PM Wed. – 56 hr.)
      Most in L.A. Co., but some in San Diego Co., possibly some Ventura Co. To
      9-Mile and 30-Mile Banks and out to shelf edge well southwest
      of San Diego in ABA Area waters. Cost $350.
      Best trip off California for Guadalupe Murrelet. Fair chance for Cook's
      Petrel. Excellent chances for Black-footed Albatross, Red-billed
      Tropicbird, multiple storm-petrels including “dark-rumped”
      Leach's, Black, possibly Least; Sabine's Gull, Arctic Tern, Long-tailed
      Jaeger. Other possibilities include Black-vented Shearwater, Ashy
      Storm-Petrel, South Polar Skua. Several regular-occurring
      shearwaters, phalaropes, jaegers. Slight chance Craveri's Murrelet, Brown
      Booby. Also excellent for whales.

      October 5, 2013 (Sat. – 12 hr.) 9-Mile and 30-Mile Banks, most
      in San Diego Co., small amount in L.A. Co. Cost $60.
      Good trip for storm-petrels--with likely Black and
      possibly Least, Leach's, and Ashy--and Black-vented
      Shearwater, Sabine's Gull; variety of fall-migrant seabirds and
      regular-occurring shearwaters, phalaropes, jaegers. Fair chance for
      Red-billed Tropicbird, Flesh-footed & Buller's Shearwaters, Arctic
      Tern, South Polar Skua; slight chance Craveri's Murrelet.

      October 12-13-14, 2013 (Sat., Sun, return 6 AM Mon. – 48 hr.)
      Some San Diego Co. and most in L.A. Co., maybe briefly in Ventura Co. Cost
      Good trip for Guadalupe Murrelet, Red-billed Tropicbird,
      storm-petrels--with likely Black and Leach's and possibly
      Least and Ashy--and Black-vented Shearwater, Sabine's
      Gull; variety of fall-migrant seabirds. Fair chance for
      Black-footed Albatross, Flesh-footed & Buller's Shearwaters,
      Northern Fulmar, Arctic Tern, South Polar Skua, Long-tailed Jaeger;
      slight chance Craveri's Murrelet. Also excellent for whales.

      November 9, 2013 (Sat. – 6hr.) Local San Diego Co. waters, may include
      9-Mile Bank, Loma Sea Valley, 6-Mile Bank, and/or La Jolla.
      Limited load. Cost $50.
      Good trip for returning winter seabirds including Black-vented &
      Pink-footed Shearwaters, Red Phalarope, jaegers, Cassin's and
      Rhinoceros Auklets; possibly Short-tailed Shearwater, Northern Fulmar.
