This morning John York found (and photographed) an adult male Common
Redpoll coming to his backyard feeders. The bird was being seen off and on this
afternoon as well. This is west of Lincoln in western Placer County.

If you'd like to visit the yard (for best viewing) you will need to contact
      John (_sunofyork@..._ (mailto:sunofyork@...) ). The bird should
also be visible from Canal Road just south of Short Way. Canal Rd is a dirt
road that goes south from Nicolaus Rd (and is NOT a through road). John's
house is on the corner of Canal Rd and Short Way.

First Placer and 4th Central Valley record for this species.
