Caracara in Yolo County just south of Davis
There has been a very cooperative Crested Caracara just south of Davis the past two days along the Yolo/Solano County line. It was found Monday evening by Mary Schiedt and seen by many at sunset. It was seen on and off all day yesterday. See Central Valley Birds (accessible here http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/CENV.html if you aren't subscribed) for details.

No reports yet today, but see CV Birds listserv for updates.
This is a first record for Yolo County; not sure about Solano County or the entire CV for that matter.
