      Hi, Seabirders,

The following is a compilation of the October 13th pelagic trip from
Bodega Bay, October 14th from Monterey Bay, and October 15th offshore
trip from Monterey. I urge you to take a look at this list. In terms of
seabirds, we recorded close to 40 species, including a record eight
species of shearwaters, and some 14 species of marine mammals of which
nine species were cetaceans. Birders traveling a long distance can find
a great advantage in doing all three trips. Three fellows from Ohio who
did added the mega rare, STREAKED SHEARWATER. For many birders from
California, MANX and GREATER SHEARWATERS and BROWN BOOBY were good
ticks. Hands down, this was a knockout weekend for seabirds and marine
      mammals!
