      All,

While I am all for conserving trips, and trying to combine purposes when possible, I think having the meeting at OBV is going to be more central for the North-east and Mid West units. I also think there is a certain benefit by having a meeting that is just a meeting, without having to worry about musket cleaning, camp sites, and other re-enactment related concerns.

Units going to Rosaryville might consider having unit meetings on the 18th to bring forward any other topics that might need discussion at the BN meeting.

That being said, I'd be available for either/both.

      Aye,
      Iain

      Hi all,
First off, I would like all to know that although Victor and I put some effort into organizing this Austerlitz event. It was your presence and fellowship which made it fun and memorable. Thanks for all the kind words; we'll work at making the next one even better.

As for safety, I've read all the posted comments and I think that we achieved our goals of having a safe event and following the existing BN guidelines. Is there room for improvement, of course!
I too believe that the Brigade is on an ascending curve and its great to see everyone motivated to bring this passion we have to another level.

Just a thought about the planed safety meeting. Its great to see so many people willing to come out to the meeting and from so far away. I don't know how much time is needed for such a meeting but have you considered holding it in Rosaryville on the evenings of the 16th and 17th of October and during the afternoon of the 18th.Like I said.....it' s Just a thought...It might be too much work (for one weekend) but it seems too bad to have folks travel so far without getting them all kitted out and into the field.
