Our petition to fire CNNs Lou Dobbs is building steam.
This past week, BlueLatinos.org was featured in Hispanic Linka national weekly news report; Lnea Directaa public interest TV show that airs on Telemundo; and we were invited on KPFKs Pocho Hour of Power with Lalo Alcaraz.
All of this coverage apparently caught the attention of CNN. The producers of Lou Dobbs Tonight extended me an invitation to appear on their show, this Friday, May 6 at 6:00 PM EST. And after much thought, many strategy conversations, and a little prayer, I accepted their invitation with the plan to deliver our petition to the man himself.
So, now is the time to ask your colleagues, friends and family to sign the petition and give Lou Dobbs a piece of their minds. Go to the link below and send an email encouraging them to sign the petition. Tell them that were going to deliver the petition to Lou Dobbs himself on his own show this Friday, May 6.
Or, you could send them the audio file from this link:
Please ask them to join us. Its important that we have many more progressives on the petition. If you have already sent them an email, go the extra mile and call themtheyd love to hear from you!
And remember to tune in to CNNif only for this one timeon Friday, May 6 at 6:00 PM EST to see the battle between me and our Goliath.

p.s. U.S. Representative Luis Gutierrez, Democrat from Illinois, delivered a series of Special Order speeches to Congress taking Dobbs to task for not providing fair coverage on immigration reform. To read his comments, follow the link:
More Latino elected officials should follow Gutierrezs lead, and stand up and fight back!Buy Hydrogen or Hybrid Vehicles, not Hummers. The government and the NEWS should reflect, not determine, the desires of the people. The news is to be reported not a melodrama of constant trivia. The founding fathers knew that government is always corrupt, that is why they gave us civil liberties. The people must lead to survive corrupt governments. Read the constitution.
