The Zapatista Caravan Is Leaving from Tijuana for Mexico City. Let¹s See It
      Off!!!

The name of the Caravan is:

      Cosme Damian and Mumia Abu-Jamal.

Sent by Carmen Valadez, Zapatista Front, Tijuana

Friends: We are sending a respectful and Zapatista-ish invitation to all
those who are going to go in the Cosme Damian and Mumia Abu-Jamal Caravan for
Peace with Justice and Dignity, and to those who are going to stay in Tijuana
and other nearby locations, to come to a meeting to prepare for the caravan
and to prepare for a possible action on the 11th of March in this region, in
order to join with the entrance of the Zapatistas into Mexico City. The
meeting will be on Friday, the second of March at 7:00 p.m. in the Tijuana
offices of the FZLN on Calle 10, #8174, between Calle Revolucion and Calle
      Constitucion.

We are also inviting you to say good-bye to the Caravan on the 8th of March
at 10:00 a.m. as it leaves from Plaza Santa Cecilia (at Calle Segunda and
Calle Revolucion) in downtown Tijuana. This will be a public act of seeing
the Caravan off and a celebration of International Women¹s Day. Send your
messages to the women commanders who are part of the EZLN delegation. And
anyone who wants to donate goods (beans, rice, sugar, etc.) bring them, and
if possible bring them to the offices of the FZLN or of Factor X.

We would like to let you know that we have already almost filled the first
bus of our caravan. There will be 30 people from the area on the bus, and
another 20 will go by plane. The breakdown of those going is as follows:  4
indigenous from the Kumiai and Cucapah communities, one male worker from a
maquiladora, two female workers from a maquiladora, two students from the
Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC), students from  Southwestern
College in San Diego, from UCSD, from Los Angeles, from a communal group in
San Francisco, young activists from Tijuana, from the Binational Globalphobic
Network of Baja California and California, from the FZLN, academics,
activists from various NGOs, and people from civil society. We believe that
there will be more than 100 of us going from here.

Our Caravan will be received in Mexicali where we will take part in a small
action. Well, friends, you have to respect the EZLN caravan, and accompany
them from here or wherever, and spread this message to the whole world.
      Greetings and hugs.
Carmen Valadez of the Cosme Damian and Mumia Abu-Jamal Caravan for Peace with
      Justice and Dignity
