May 15-18 Rosarito, Baja California, Mexico: Border Environment Meeting
      From: ambiente@...
      January 7, 2005

Mark your calendar! The V Meeting on the Border Environment will take place
on May 15-18 in Rosarito, Baja California. The theme of this year’s event
is “Building Collaborations in a Changing Border Environment”. In
particular, we will address issues related to environmental impacts of border security
policies, water, pollution and health, and smart development for cleaner
      border cities.

This Meeting will differ from those of previous years. The goal is to
provide a space of collective analysis of border environmental issues between
border residents, non-governmental organizations, researchers, policy makers,
students, business representatives and other experts. By working in small groups
in each of the four “tracks,” participants will provide their expertise to
design strategies for developing collaborative actions for each topic area.

We hope you and your organization will join us! To learn more, please visit

      Sincerely,
The U.S. and Mexico Secretariats of the V Meeting on the Border Environment
