Group Description

Hello, bookworms!

Do you love reading books? Do you find the idea of curling up with a good read more appealing than watching the boob tube? If you're a book crazy read-a-holic, this group is for you. Members can feel comfortable enough to talk about any book, genre or author. Classics, modern pop fiction, books of poetry, non-fiction, biography, cult classics, classic junk that you just love anyway. There are no limits to book and author discussions in here.

After all, a great lover of books is usually articulate, intelligent and informed. No book snobs! This list is for book lovers of *all* kinds, so a pecking order won't be tolerated.

Some off-topic threads do happen, but are usually a result of book talk! We do keep things fairly brief and clean; besides, it's a great way to get to know one another beyond the confines of a book. If you are interested in more off topic chatter with the Crazies, please join us at CraziesOffTopic.

***No advertisements allowed, not even book-related advertisements.

***We're not sticklers about grammar and spelling, but it's appreciated if members snip (cut out the extra stuff that Yahoo attaches to messages) when replying to messages. Don't leave a bunch of messages attached to your message. This is especially appreciated by members who read the Daily Digest. Members who don't snip stay on moderated status -- it'll take longer for your message to get sent to the group if you're moderated.

New members are encouraged to apply through the website rather than e-mail. This gives you an opportunity to tell us why you'd like to join the group.
