      Yakkers,

I made a quick check along Lateral 'C' Road west of Toppenish, just before
sundown this afternoon, thinking I might spot a night-heron. No luck there
but a big, partially flooded field just south of Marion Drain on the west
side of Lateral C was good for shorebirds. It became too dark to see so I
      may have missed some waders!
