      Yakkers,

      The past two days there have been a number of Golden-crowned Kinglets
      working the bare branches of pear trees here indicating bugs (Pear psylla
      likely a common insect) are awakening on these still leafless trees. In the
      thicker brush by the house Ruby-crowned Kinglets have suddenly become much
      more noticeable than during the past three months. Migration of the early
      spring birds is ramping up, always a treat to observe. A Mountain Chickadee
      is still about as is a Red -breasted Nuthatch, birds from the mountain
      forests.
