      Hi Yakkers,

There is a listserve for the Tri-Cities area called LCBirds (Lower
Columbia Birds). It is very similar to BirdYak. Here is the address:

      http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LCBirds/

There is a blue box at the bottom of the homepage to click on to join
the group. People living a little closer to Tri-Cities might be
interested in joining that group, also.

Yesterday my brother-in-law and another birder found a Sharp-tailed
Sandpiper at the Yakima River Delta. Access has been closed on the
west end of the delta, so you have to take the turn-off for Bateman
Island. The sandpiper was seen about midway down the dike road that
runs along the delta at a gravel "beach". From the beach it was
found between there and the island directly across from the beach.

      Denny
