      I walked up the road from Clover Flats to the summit of

      Darland Mountain, which is about 2 miles. There was no

      snow on the road from Tampico to the summit and negligible

      mud. "Mudders" at the summit indicated that the North Fork Road

      below the summit is a virtually impassable quagmire.

      Clover Flats campground is also free of snow.


      Those raucous nutcrackers kept me company up and down the road.
