      For those who missed last night's CBS News rebroadcast of one segment of its Feb. story, "ULTIMATE RISK":

      After this story was first aired the Federal Office of Protection from Research Risks shut down clinical trials at 8 academic research institutions for their failure to comply with Fed. regulations.
       
      The fact is, since Shalma Prince's terrifying experience as a research subject, there are NO NEW SAFEGUARDS.  In fact, today more people--including children-- are at risk of being recruited involuntarily into drug experiments which may cause them permanent harm.
