Question about a 1974 Eldorado CARB.

At an idle my engine seems to be running fast. The electric solenoid seems to be powered all the time. My eyes are getting bad and I am have difficulty

    Many years ago I installed a cruise control kit on a 1968 Buick Skylark. They may still make kits but mine had a speed sensor that mounted near the driveshaft
