The question is asked, How long will the Host be trodden under foot? (Dan.8:13 below).
I believe that the Host are those who are "the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city." (Zech.14:2 below) The Host are those who will fight the Sixth TRUMPET battle (Re.9:13-21) against the Gentiles (Lk.21:24 below, 1 Thess.4:5, Eph.2:12).
The Sixth TRUMPET, Second Woe, battle will be waged for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year (391 days, plus one hour - Re.9:15). The battle will conclude with the slaying of the two prophets at the last hour (Re.11:9-11).
The times (years) of the Gentiles will be FULFILLED (Lk.21:24 below) at the Seventh TRUMPET (1 Thess.4:16-17).
I believe the Host are the "exceeding great army" of bones slain of Ezekiel.37:1-10 (below) and that they along with the two prophets are those who are "the dead in Christ" who "shall rise first:" (1 Thess.4:16).
The 144,000 are those who are alive and remain (1 Thess.4:17).
Other than the Host and the two prophets and the 144,000, all believers who have died prior to the Seventh TRUMPET have eternal life upon death (Jn.5:24, Jn.10:28, Jn.17:2) and are in heaven prior to the Seventh TRUMPET.
Dan.8:13 Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice (Dan.8:11, Dan.9:27), and the transgression of desolation (Dan.11:31), to give BOTH the sanctuary (Dan.8:11) and the HOST to be trodden under foot?
Zech.14:2 For I will gather ALL NATIONS against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and HALF the city shall go forth into captivity, and THE RESIDUE OF THE PEOPLE SHALL NOT BE CUT OFF FROM THE CITY.
Lk. 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled (Zech.14:2 above).
Eze.37:1 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which [was] full of bones,
Eze.37:2 And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, [there were] very many in the open valley; and, lo, [they were] very dry.
Eze.37:3 And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.
Eze.37:4 Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.
Eze.37:5 Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:
Eze.37:6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD.
Eze.37:7 So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.
Eze.37:8 And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but [there was] no breath in them.
Eze.37:9 Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon THESE SLAIN, that they may live.
Eze.37:10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.
