The Crown of Twelve Stars on the Woman of Revelation chapter 12's
      Head -

I believe that the crown of twelve stars upon the woman's head
(Re.12:1 below) represents a star for each of the twelve Apostles.
The Apostles are the foundation of the church of God; Jesus is the
      chief corner stone (Eph.2:20 below).

According to my Book of Revelation the Church has 24 elders not 12. The
image is not Mary, Pat, you are completely off on that. It's Israel, just
like the context of Revelation is about what happens to Israel when the Lord
comes back. By the time that happens the church is raptured, just like this
text says, suddenly snatched up to God and his throne. For the Son that
Israel brings forth is Jesus Christ, and He is the head and we are the body,
      of Christ.
