      CAT CORPS

From the fantastic imagination of Bast comes an alternate universe novella that will hold you spellbound to the very last page.  When J'Ell, an injured member of the alien cat-like race Pan'tr, finds his way to a space station occupied by a Terran Teacher named Blair Sandburg, can their two worlds mesh and become one?  Most Pan'tr Sentinels don't live past cubhood if they haven't bonded with their Guide — and J'Ell has never bonded.  When he meets Blair, he knows instantly that this is the one he has been waiting for.  He *must* have him.  But will Blair be able to accept fully J'Ell's dominance and rights as his mate and Sentinel?

      LORD ELLISON

Written by Bast, in this enthralling alternate universe novel, Lord James Ellison, shapeshifter and Sentinel, is a force to be reckoned with.  He needs a Mate, one to bond with him.  He has no one and he needs a Guide, someone to calm the panther within the man. When a new slave is brought before him, Lord Ellison is instantly taken with Blair, a young man who had only the day before been sold into slavery by his mother.  Lord Ellison takes the slave as his Consort, and soon learns that life, and love, is anything but easy when the heart is involved.  A prophesy by a Seer declares that the Sentinel's Mate will give birth to an heir to the kingdom, and Lord Ellison discovers that his love is a L'carindar, a male able to bear children.  Shapeshifter Ellison is ecstatic that he and his Mate will have a child, until he learns that he must impregnate Blair in his panther form....  A fascinating and not-to-be-missed novel!

      SENTINEL STORIES FROM THE ABODE

This zine is a collection of forty Jim/Blair stories from the prolific pen of Bast, gathered from her Abode website that was taken down many years ago.  Written in the late 1990s and early 2000s, these tales run the gamut from funny to dramatic to heartwrenching and back.  While these stories have not been edited in any way, and are only collected to be read as they were posted by a beginning writer when *The Sentinel* was still airing, each tale sparkles with the unique quality of storytelling that only Bast can create!

      VAMPYRE ACADEMIE

In a time of great Magick, Mages rule the land of this fascinating novella by Bast.  Jim Ellison, a Vampyre Dark Mage, chooses a Human apprentice named Blair and places a collar on him, but when Jim refuses to join with Blair that night, and won't explain his reluctance, Blair demands to be released from his apprenticeship.  The dissolution breaks Jim's heart, but when Blair offers the olive branch of working Magick together as equals, Jim immediately agrees.  What secret could be so shameful that it would keep Jim and Blair apart?  What sad but wonderous circumstances involving a Dragon could bring together Jim, Blair, a second Vampyre named Simon and an Elf named Kix, all with a guaranteed happy ending?  Come find out!
