MAD DOG MOON
When Founder's Day, the Fourth of July and Milt's grandfather's 90th birthday all fall on the same day, the judge drags Mark to his hometown farm in Clarence, Arkansas, to celebrate. But word of Mark's ex-con status has reached the small town well ahead of them and Mark finds many minds have already been made up about him – and not for the better! Aunt May and Aunt Zora do their best to help, but it may be a losing battle. Can he change the opinions of the local sheriff, the gossipping women in town, and especially Caleb, Milt's cantakerous grandfather, who is determined to believe that 'once a con, always a con'? Another amazing gen novel from the deft hand of D.D. Brishcke!

ORANGE BLOSSOMS AND FRIED RICE
When a young Chinese woman found wandering on the docks is brought to Peter's precinct, the detective gets embroiled in danger, kidnapping and a marriage – his own. To avoid having the woman deported back to a life of servitude as a concubine to a nasty warlord, Peter agrees to marry her, but discovers, as they move through life together, that it isn't a sham at all, that he really has come to feel for her. When someone from her village in China comes looking for her, demanding to take his 'property' home, Peter must fight for his bride. With his father and loving foster family by his side, as well as an entire squadroom of angry cops, the bad guys don't stand a chance! Don't missing this intriguing gen novel by D.D. Brischke!

* Stargate: Atlantis *
What, exactly, was an Asgaard obelisk doing in the Pegasus galaxy? That's the question Dr. Rodney McKay and his team were trying to answer when they came into contact with a race of people who seemed to be untouched by the Wraith. As their investigation raises more questions than it answers, the team finds itself entangled in a carefully prepared web, with the Wraith, the Genii and some messed-up Asgaard technology at the center of it. When Rodney falls victim to the paranoia of the planet's inhabitants, it appears that he is lost to them forever. As John Sheppard and the rest of Atlantis mourn his loss, Rodney embarks on a wild journey of bravery and self-discovery, emerging as a new man. Don't miss this enthralling gen novel by Neena Varscona, with a heartstoppingly gorgeous color cover by KAM!
* Supernatural *
Written by Suz Mc, who also drew the beautiful cover, in this *thick* novel, Dean's promiscuous behavior pre-going to Hell has finally caught up with him now that he's back. Emily, a little girl who may or may not be his, was conceived due to a demon's intervention. Can the sheer innocence of a child born of violence, terror and despair thaw the frozen heart and bring new hope to the jaded soul of a worn-out hunter? And can Sam find a way to pull his brother back from the devastation of loss when Hell comes to claim its prize?
In a heart-touching dessert course to the juicy meal of a novel before it, Suz Mc ends the zine with the lovely tale, "Fishing with Bobby." When Bobby and Emily take time out to do some fishing, the four-year-old asks questions about Bobby's past that the older man would prefer not to answer. That's the thing about kids -- no filter. If it pops into their heads, it pops out of their mouths, and Bobby learns all over again that children don't respect boundaries, even painful ones. Can Emily ease his heartache? This is a must-read zine!
* Torchwood *
MAKE A WISH
Written by amazing authors Mirenna and M.J., this collection of slashy tales runs the gamut from dark to light and back again. Cry with Jack as he lives through World War I as a daring pilot who learns first-hand how dangerous and heartbreaking war can be. Laugh with the entire gang as they celebrate Christmas Torchwood-style, aliens be damned! Hold back a tear as Jack comforts Ianto when reality invades his lover's dreams and nightmares wake him screaming. And chuckle knowingly as Jack and Ianto would rather stay in their room, playing nookie, than come out to face a room full of friends who want to congratulate them on their 30th wedding anniversary! A definite must-read!
