      Sammy replies:  I can't say one way or the other but I have been told that "Fire Ants" will kill and eat the larva of the small Hive beetle.  I do know that the reason the "Fire Ant" was imported in to the US was to kill the Bow-weevil.  They did eradicate the bow-weevil from the South.
