      Hello Everybody;

      In Bequia (West Indies) we have a member of the Martin family that has
      decided to make a picnic of our bees. They sit in the trees above our hives
      and swoop upon our hapless bees to their hearts content. I have no idea how
      to stop these feathered marauders. Some people advocate putting up some kind
      of net to discourage the free-flying birds. This will not work here due to
      the blustery Trade Winds. These winds would shred any net we put up very
      quickly.

      It is a worry to us - besides the ability to eat large numbers of bees day
      after day after day these birds can catch queens on their mating flights.

      Anybody have any ideas?

      Thanks, Bob in Bequia

        Hello everyone!

        Just found out my two hive did not survive the winter.  My local bee supplier has stopped ordering package bees.  A number of places I've contacted on the web are already sold out for this year.  Does anyone know any a distributor still selling package bees or nucs?

        Thanks,

        Mark
