      Howard E. "Howie" Page, who played for the 1937 Rome Colonels, died on May 11, 2012, in Saranac Lake, NY.

      The July 31, 1937 Oswego Palladium-Times reads "Howie Page, of Afton, N.Y., well known here through his athletic proclivities with the Cortland Normal school teams, has been signed by the Rome Colonels. Page is a shortstop and has been caption of the crack Unadilla semi-pro team this season. He will replace Tony Miller, returned to the Sailsbury club."
