I have not tried that yet, but I will. I’ve been exclusively focused on the band in a box portion. I assume it’s as simple as opening the MGU you file in

Go to the first measure of the song that you want to mute an instrument. Hit the F5 key. In the dialogue you will see places for you to turn down or mute any

It may not be appropriate for your case, but as an item of general interest, Total Recorder is an inexpensive Windows application that will record ANY sound on

I would suggest playing the MGU in the normal way and simultaneously recording it. Audacity is quite good for recording and free.
