Group Description

This is the original List for Rescue agility dogs, dogs who may not have had a perfect start in life, but are definitely living the good life now! The group was created in April 2003 for sharing brags, insights, training methods, hopes and fears, worries, and personal experiences, with anyone who has RESCUE dogs as their agility team-mates. We discuss training methods, but more importantly we offer support to other Baggagers who may be having a rough time, as well as congratulations to teams who celebrate a break-through, be it an advanced title or a tiny turn-around.....each and every worry and brag is important to this group! For this reason you may see quite a bit of traffic when someone wants to brag about a well-earned Q or title, the joyous success of a PQ (Personal Q) or the shared thrill of a CQ (Confidence Q!)
And should you wonder....Our definition of a Rescue is any dog who was UNWANTED: an AKC pure-bred dropped into breed rescue, the stray on the street, the puppy that "outgrew" his first home because a baby was coming, the high-level activity dog that the family couldn't keep. It means the misunderstood teenager who was never taught manners and is returned to the SPCA several times, or the sickly runt from the chance mating down the street. It means the pampered pet that the oldster left behind when she moved into assisted living. The stories can be easy or hard, but....if no one wanted them and YOU did, then YOU rescued them.

DENISE brags about Duffy (and his Dad!)

Adopted in 2001, Duffy missed half of 2012 due to a torn Cruciate and surgery. He’s back and rocking courses and his dad has a huge smile on his face every time they run together.
