I seem to be having more sucess using a diferent approach to the application of this stove. My field report from four trips will cover this in greater detail. During the course of these trips, my trail companions have expressed serious interest in the stove. If it is OK with Jerry, I could forward the stove to a close friend and provide data from our collective tests. It would also provide an opportunity to make some educated modifications to a stove, and still have the base model for comparison. My field report will cover possible modifications, that I have been reluctant to implement because of the risk to the base model, and its impact on future tests. The proposed modifications are based on my experience with building and using "can" stoves. If this proposal is not appropriate, thats OK too. Please let me know.
