Job Title: Peer Health Educator/Outreach Worker
Transgender Health Empowerment is currently seeking a Peer Health
Educator/Outreach Worker. The position seeks a qualified candidate
to implement Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) prevention services
within the T.H.E. Prevention office to the transgender population.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 1 year history of providing
health education-related services in a community-based setting. The
ideal candidate will have experience working with sexual minority
individuals and the transgender population. Candidates must be
knowledgeable of the culture of the transgender population and the
factors that place marginalized populations at increased risk for
acquiring or transmitting HIV. Candidates must be creative,
motivated, work well independently and have strong teamwork skills.
Candidates should have great oral presentation and writing skills.
Candidates should possess the ability to multi-task and excel under
pressure. Experience with Popular Opinion Leader and Individual
Prevention Counseling preferred. Interested candidates should submit
