Charles Leo ``Bill'' Bullard, 82, Welch route 2, died
at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 1996, at the home of a daughter in
Oswego, Kan., after a long illness. Mr. Bullard was born June 7, 1914,
in Craig County, near Welch. He was a lifetime area resident. He was a
retired farmer, and had worked in the lead and zinc mines at Picher.
He married Leila D. Mooney in 1935 at Oswego. She died Feb. 15, 1983.
Survivors include four sons, Don Howard Bullard and Rocky Dale
Bullard, both of Welch, Charles Thomas Bullard, Tuscaloosa, Alabama,
and Randy Bullard, Granby, Mo.; three daughters, Leona White, Oswego,
and Ann Walker and Frances Wallace, both of Bluejacket; two brothers,
Carl Bullard, Phoenix, Ariz., and Chester Bullard, state of Florida; a
sister, Leona Raper, Phoenix; 18 grandchildren; four
stepgrandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and eight
great-great-stepgrandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday
at Maybelle Baptist Church, northeast of Welch. The Rev. Harold Neal
and the Rev. Jeff Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Welch
Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Aaron Bullard, John Bullard, Scott
Bullard, Doug Bullard, Josh Bullard and DeWayne Wallace. The family
will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Paul Thomas Funeral
