I bought a Tranquilo for my sister about 6 months ago. It grinds very nice.
The hopper design is less than perfect in that beans don't flow very well... A
lot of people seem to chuck the hopper and just use a styrofoam cup with the
bottom cut out in its place, weigh enough beans for a double, pour them in and
set the tamper on top. I prefer to just throw a few days worth of beans in the
hopper and so I ended up pulling the little plastic anti-pop-corning piece out
of the hopper and solved my bean flow problems. I got the doserless model and
it has less clumping issues than my NS MDX doser.

Well, the Bunn is up and running just fine. Time to go looking for an
acceptable grinder. There was recent discussion on this list about the Cunill
Tranquilo. Does anyone have first hand knowledge of this machine, good and bad?
Are there any others close to that price range that would give an acceptable
grind? The Braun with its 40mm worn head is just not cutting it ($5 at a garage
      sale). jack in Fl :-)
