  • Here is a NetROM Config that I used for many years between bpq32 and old AK1A cluster running old bpq. This is the bpq32 setup. The cable is and was a straight thru cable 2-2 and 3-3 and gnd. Finally killed the old box when I moved to DXSpider. PORT PORTNUM=4 ID=AX44 TYPE=ASYNC PROTOCOL=NETROM FULLDUP=1 IOADDR=1 SPEED=9600 CHANNEL=A PERSIST=255 QUALITY=1 USERS=10 MAXFRAME=4 TXDELAY...

  • They have changed some things recently and the setup file(s) that are found here no longer quite work. The local.pm file that we were using is now the same as Spider ships with the update(s). eg. found in spider/perl. So in local you don't need any of the bpq32 stuff, they now have it in spider/perl and it apparently works fine. You will discover this as if you use the related...

  • Both KISS and Netrom used to work, but haven't done it in a while. Pinout is different for each. 2-3 3-2, and the other i2 2-2, 3-3, and a gnd if you're fussy! I configured each side as KISS and of course at the same baud rate. I am...

  • About your best bet is to find a copy of QEMM. You might try this site. http://www.chsoft.com/dv.html This will let you manage memory on your computer and get it to work. This is what we all used with bpq and the packet cluster in the "old" days. Deskview by Quarterdeck might also be useful. But frankly its easier to just change computers IMHO. I don't have a copy anymore but its...

  • Can someone tell me if the procedure as outlined in the spiderbpq.zip files are still the way to do it? I used to have all of this running but gave it all away now trying to help another local with his connect to the network so he can get spots. He is running the latest release of bpq32 and all of that is working quite well with spider. Just not sure now to get the connect.pl stuff...

  • Mike, I am a bit confused. In Telpac you just set TNC to AGWPE and then set the filepath to point to your bpq32 directory. I did have to move the beacons file to bpq32 directory as I recall as well. In bpqcfg.txt you need the 9612 ports as well as the internet port. I think you have to just copy the beacon's around to get UI-VIEW to work tho I am not familar with that piece. Jay...

  • AGWtoBPQ works great with Spider and setup is quite easy on both ends. John if you send me that program, I can certainly give it a test as my Spider is low usage I can take it up and down easily enough.
