If it said it started, then if probably did.Check that you have set BBS Appl No (to 1 in your case) and Streams (The number of simultaneous connects to allow - at least 1) in the BBS Config, and clicked "Save". You need to restart LinBPQ if you change those params.73, John

I amended the application line as suggested
Now when I type sysop at the command line I get
TORBAY:ZL1LW} Sorry, Application SYSOP is not running - Please try later
To start linbpq I use:
sudo ./linbpq mail
It then shows that is started amil and the config file is processed. no errors.
How do I know if the BBS is started?

Subject: [BPQ32] LINBPQ BBS setup help needed
Okay, I have LINBPQ MAIL feature running, I did the setup of the BBS parameters using the HTTP interface. Now my next hurdle, How do I connect to the BBS I have created from the node?
The BBS callsign is TBYBBS
I want the user to type SYSOP and be redirected to the TBYBBS BBS.
In the bpq32.cfg file I added the following:
APPLICATION 1,SYSOP,C 1 TBYBBS
and typing "sysop" at the command line returns the following:
TORBAY:ZL1LW} Failure with TBYBBS
I already have the following in the bpq32.cfg file:
When I type "?" I get the following:
TORBAY:ZL1LW} SYSOP BBSNZ DX DX2 CONV PUKKIE CONNECT BYE INFO NODES PORTS ROUTES USERS MHEARD
All the other applications in the list is also specified in the bpq32.cfg file and works fine.
When I set the TCPPORT and FBBPORT to the same value I get a TELNET Port error on startup.
