      The two values are the number of buffers on the free buffer chain, and the number the program thinks are free. If they are different, then something has gone horribly wrong. This was added as a debugging aid.

      John, if I remember correctly, the number at the end of the response when a USER command is issued was
      the number of free buffers... something like that. In the latest version, a USER command generates this
      number twice, i.e.:

      USER

      KVJ:KV7J-4} G8BPQ Network System V5.2.5.1 for Win32 (609 609)

      Host01(KV7J-4)
