RGR, let me fool around in there again... I have seen that problem too... and no clue as to why that happens either... but have not seen it for a while though... I have a faint and rough feeling that it has something to do with the the beacon received on port 10093 (or 93 if you are using that one) You receive a beacon from say KV7J-4 and the software did not understand or could not pull the IP address down for KV7J-3... but it did understand KV7J-4 and KV7J-4 knew about KV7J-3, I think that problem is gone... now.. Again, I have no real proof of that being the actual case... File it under Fairy Tale that begins with "Once upon a time..."
Gonna slip-swap some of that stuff again this evening just to see what I can screw up...

OK....only reason I asked was I used to have issue forwarding to you when my connect script was...

      C 1 KV7J-3

      Then I went to.....

      C 1 KV7J-4
      C KV7J-3

And everything was fine....not sure why. Now its working fine with simply C KV7J-3....go figure!

Hey Ken... not at home right now so don't believe everything I say but it is fairly simple, something like
      C KJ6IX-3
Which finds that he is a telnet user and calls out on port one...
Have tried forcing a connect on port 2 (RF) with a:
      C 2 KMEV-1
with the same result as you saw on port one...
Have tried other values on port one such as:
      C 1 KJ6IX-3
The connect is there... we are just not passing traffic... That is why I am now looking at prompts...

      Hey Otto,

What does your connect script to Dale look like in Manage Forwarding????

Still have not gotten this forwarding problem worked out. After screwing with it... deleting the forwarding entry, switching modes for B1 to B2 and back, deleteing user and recreating it... still can not forward to KJ6IX-3
This is what appears on the channel: (unneeded info frames removed)

       KJ6IX-4 to KV7J-3 ttl=25 cct=01D2 <INFO S1 R1>:
      de KJ6IX>
       KV7J-3 to KJ6IX-4 ttl=25 cct=0212 <INFO S1 R2>:
      15:07:12R KJ6IX-4>KV7J-4 Port=1 <RR R F R1>
Contact is made with the remote BBS we still pass the H$ capabilities SSID and what I don't like is that I do not send a '>' which used to be the change over character (I could be wrong
John, please correct me...) Note that KJ6IX does this which causes me to respond with my SSID... KJ6IX responds to my SSID and several INFO frames are passed before the timer kills everything...
From what you see there, the system runs the 10 minute timer and then times out and disconnects...
Any other clues... I am at a loss...

Either he doesn't have you as a BBS, or does not have "Allow Binary" checked.

For giggles, you might try "unchecking" B1 and so forth on your end and see if that makes any difference. Was hoping John or one of the BBS "gurus" would chime in (I know just enough to be dangerous, grin) on your captures.

Wouldn't make fun of the old retired guys, they're probably the lucky ones. Rest of us may not see retirement till age 90, grin.
