RE: [BPQ32] Re: Outgoing connects via - Issues
MessageTony,I'll look into it when I have a bit of time to spare.Ok on the 98/ME updates. I've never run ME, and I only use 98 for compatibility testing, but the info may be of interest to other members of the group.73,John-----Original Message-----

Subject: [BPQ32] Re: Outgoing connects via - Issues
Yes this works by connecting to the SWITCH first. It brings back memories from years ago with TSTHOST and BPQ in Dos as well as the Sally days.
I wonder why some clients can do the L2 Connect Via ok (WINTNC) regardless of AGWtoBPQ or AGWPE is being used and yet others (AGWTerm and TSThWin) get real fussy about AGWtoBPQ ? Can you fix this John ? It would be nice because currently its real confusing.
One good thing Ive stumbled on is that after doing a heap of updates (unofficial) on the Win ME box that I stumbled on through some recent comments on this group. What has happened is that WINTNC actually runs under Win ME which I have found previously to be very unstable.
The updates I did for the record are basically these
Windows 9x Power Pack ver 4

followed by the version 4.1 patch
http://www.majorgee ks.com/Windows_ 9x_Power_ Pack_Patch_ d5203.html
I also installed the Win 98 Revolutions Pack version 9 which works under Win ME also.

The revolutions pack itself may not have a direct bearing on making WINTNC run under Win ME but there are several dependancies that become apparent on installation of the Pack. These may have an effect.
I also notice that my Adobe flash player updated after installing all of this.
