      The 16 character limit is due to my desire to maintain config file compatibility with the 16 bit BPQCODE. It may be time to review that policy, but in the meantime remember that the command alias is just a convenience - the user can always connect to the node and input the full node command.

      Are we still limited to 16 characters for the 'connect' applications
      in BPQ32? Extending that even a little to 32 characters would really
      open up what we can do with it.

      I'm stuck now trying to set up a simple connection to the Washington
      State EOC which has to go via a single digipeater and that doesn't
      fit.
