Thanks for all the help here and in private emails. The BPQBBS is up and running as (N4ZKF now and NOT N4ZKF-4)  any longer as well as the HTTP and telnet ports now thanks to a lot of you and hair pulling on my side. Now that all that is done I'm on to getting my 3 radios and TNC's running. I bought USB to serial converters with the prolific chips yesterday for the TNCs in KISS. I found these gave a true RS232 when using them with my repeater controller over the cheap brands. Anyone need the IP let me know and I will send it private. I get enough hackers trying to get in on my DX node every day as it is.

Now on to the RF side. I guess the DRSI card need to be put to bed after 20+ years. They served me well and I have boxes of them.

Hi Dave. I'm pleased to hear you've got things going.

I suspect a lot of people have DRSI and similar cards lying around, which are no longer usable as it is pretty much impossible to get machines with ISA slots that will run current versions of Windows. I wonder if there would be much interest in a microcontroller that would convert them into a KISS TNC. There are some incredibly cheap Arduino Nano boards around now which include a USB interface and could probably be used for the job. If anyone who might be interested in such a device could let me know I can judge if it would be worth the effort.

        73, John

              Hi All

Have you tried looking on Ebay for motherboards with ISA Slots? I did and found some second hand ones from China, order one and it came very quickly and well pleased with it, running Windows 8 on it and using a Thor RLC-100 4 port TNC Card on it and it only cost about £35 with processor. When I first fired it up noticed that it originally came from the French Post Office
