      Thanks John

Will be looking forward to trying it.

I have to shut down BPQ when I want  to join the packet net.

For my use make sure I can set a path statement for going thru digi or digi’s.

ENJOY  the boating.  Sur miss mine lots of times.  Hi Hi

      Thanks Again

      Mike

      Ok, Mike.

I’ve got a prototype unproto mode working. It is a bit crude, but will have to do till I get a bit more time. I’ll try to get it released in the next day or two.

      Thanks John

I would appreciate it if you could get the BPQ Term to do unproto even though I like UISS for unproto work.

      Thanks again

      Mike,

I occasionally get the “Run-Time Error 9” here, but not within 10 seconds. I suspect something in the monitor data from bpq32 is upsetting UISS. This could be a bug in either bpq or UISS, but without any more error info from UISS it is pretty difficult to tell which. I’m away sailing at the moment so don’t have the time to delve into problems like this, which tend to be difficult to track down. In the meantime I’ll see if I can find a simple way to add UNPROTO capability to the BPQ terminal. There is already a similar feature for WINMOR FEC mode, so it may not be too difficult.

      73,

      John

      Ok John

      Did that

Here is what happens when I run UISS on the UISS screen

      Connect to server 127.0.0.1

      W8EHH Registered

      Port 1 with BPQ 145.010

      Port 2 with AX/IP/UDP

Port 3 with BPQ 144.39 MH

With in 10 seconds I get this

      Run-Time error 9

      Subscript out of range

Then I click OK and it closes down UISS.

Also I tried to send a packet and it showed up on the uiss screen but did not key the KPC-3.

I am not doing to well Hi Hi

      Thanks for your help

      Mike,

In the UISS main setup you select which AGW port you want to use. Do you have the “All” button clicked?

      Hi John

I did what you said. Set up agw to bpq and every time I run it (UISS) it receives all ports and almost immediately with in 15 sec it will give me a script error and have to close UISS.  I just want to be able to listen to 1 port  only.  Port 1

      Now what

      Thank You

      Mike,

You need to use AGWtoBPQ.exe, not the real AGWPE. This program allows programs expecting to see AGWPE to use BPQ32. See http://www.cantab.net/users/john.wiseman/Documents/AGWtoBPQ.htm.

UISS normally uses the DLL interface to AGW, which BPQ32 doesn’t support, so you need to configure ARISS in LAN mode.

I’ve done a few tests and it seems to work, although it isn’t completely stable. I need to do some more test to find if that is a problem with BPQ or UISS.

      Hi John

      Thanks for the reply.

What I will want to do is use the same port that bpq Mail/Chat com 4 with UISS I tried reading the doc and I didn’t quite understand how to set up the config file and then not sure how to set up AGWPE.  Both the Chat and agwpe will be using the same KPC-3 in KISS mode on com 4 145.010.

      Any help will be appreciated.

      Thank you

      Hi Mike,

Not directly, but there is a program UISS (http://users.belgacom.net/hamradio/uiss.htm) that will work with BPQ32, and is designed for unproto QSOs. I'm away from home at the moment, and can't remember the setup details, but I'll check it out when I get back. My recollection is that it uses AGWtoBPQ.
