      1969 Schwinn Paramount Frame & Fork (60.5cm)

      Selling my beloved '69 Paramount.

I purchased it in 2007 from a collector in Seattle. I got some great rides out of this bike -- but in the end just never built it up with the components a classic Paramount deserves. I won't go into the Paramount history -- but there's tons of reading out there if you're interested.

Overall in really nice condition -- it's definitely a rider! Just enough wear that you won't feel guilty hitting the streets, but you'll still get all the cool old guys chatting you up. You'll notice some scratches and chips in the photos -- the biggest of which is covered by the front derailleur once clamped on.

Sale includes frame, original fork, campagnolo headset and campagnolo bottom bracket. Also, the front and rear cable hangers are still on!

      1969 Schwinn Paramount P13

Serial Number: J918 ("J" means September; "9" indicates the year 1969, and I believe "18" indicates it was the 18th bike made that month).
Seat tube (center to center): 60.5cm
Top tube (center to center): 59.5cm
      Rear Spacing: 120mm
      Tubing: Reynolds 531
Lugs: It has the cool Prugnat Lugs! They only used prugnats for a couple years in the late '60s when they ditched the more ornate Nervex lugset. But then people were up in arms about losing the fancy look of the Nervex's, so they brought them back. Personally, I think the Prugnats are way classy.
      Fork: the chrome tipped original!
Headset: Campagnolo. Good condition, just had it inspected (and have not had the frame built up since).
Bottom Bracket: Campagnolo 1.370" x 24 TPI (English threaded); I believe 112mm length. Good condition, just had the BB rebuilt (and have not had the frame built up since).

      Email me with any questions.
