1983 48cm Specialized Expedition - $400
- Not mine. Pix on link.
Rare Vintage Silver/Gray Specialized Expedition Touring frame with
Suntour drive train components. It is a 7 speed with a Sugino AT triple
crankset in the front, 7 sprockets in back for a total of 21 gears.
suntour downtube shifters with AUTOMATIC TRIMMING (if you don't know
what it is, it's worth googling). Riser bars with purple grippies and
flat bar brake levers (not original components). Has a brand new REAR
RACK (paneer) that is not represented in the pic. Would fit a male or
female from 5'0 to 5'5 comfortably I would think. Right now it is set up
for city commuting but it could be overhauled with top-shelf components
to make an excellent touring bike that would last at least a decade.
This is a rare vintage early 1980's frame, and once one of the most
sought after touring frames made in the US.
