--Dura-Ace bar-end shifters (9-spd index or friction).
--Shimano 105 front derailleur and sealed hubs.
--Mavic MA3 rims.
--Continental Top Touring 2000 700x28c tires.
--Nitto Technomic stem, 10cm.
--Nitto Noodle handlebar, 44cm ctc.
--Tectro Aero brake levers (black).
--Tubus Tara front rack.
--Detours front handlebar bag.
--New cables and cable housing throughout.
Original parts include:
--Shimano "Bat-Wing" cantilever brakes.
--Blackburn aluminum rear rack (custom made for the Trek 720).
--Brooks Professional saddle with large rivets.
--SR Laprade seatpost.
--Stronglight roller bearing headset (cleaned and re-greased).
An American built legend from the mid-eighties bike touring boom. Meant for serious touring,
these top-of-the-line Treks competed with the Miyata 1000 and 610's, Centurion Pro-Tours, Specialized Expeditions. . .
Long seat stays (longer than any of the competition) provide more-than-adequate heel clearance and comfort for the long haul.
Reynolds 531c tubing throughout. Investment cast lugs with Trek fastback seat cluster. Silver brazing? Possibly.
All the braze-ons expected and needed.
