For sale is a Royal Asport Professional Super Corsa frameset with a 62 cm seat tube and a 59 cm top tube. The R.A.P.S.C. was the top offering from a French company that was acquired by Gitane back in the late 60s.
The frameset is constructed of Reynolds 531 tubing and has nice, long-point lugs, Nervex fork crown (chromed), Campy LONG horizontal (1010b) dropouts, Campy fork ends, and rack eyelets. The fork-ends, drop-outs, fork crown, and half stays are chromed.
The frameset wears its original, classic orange paint. It looks a bit rough but there are no dents, dings, or rust issues. The frame has ZERO braze-ons and has 120 mm spacing in the rear. It would make a very clean looking fixed gear or SS! As mentioned above, it does have rack eyelets and the ability to run fenders if you're into that.
This frameset is by no means a show piece, but is a good example of an early 70's mid/high-range French offering. The lines of the frame look sharp and it would provide the perfect base for a cool, retro project.
The price is $75 and is for the frame and fork only.
Please email if you have questions or would like to see the bike in person.
