1973 25" Nishiki Professional - $450

To save everyone time the bike is available and this ad will be immediately removed when it is sold. Thanks.
Vintage 1973 Nishiki Professional bicycle in the 25" frame with 58cm top tube and approx 34 5/8" stand over height.
Great vintage Nishiki lugged steel bike that was their top model in 1973
and now pretty difficult to find especially in a 25" size.
It's a beautiful candy apple green with contrasting black head tube,
chromed head tube lugs with cutouts with matching paint inside the
cutouts, a chrome & matching paint fork with bi-plane crown and
polished chrome upper seat stay treatment.
The combination of the paint, chrome, original decals and beautiful
vintage components all come together for a stunning look.
The pictures speak to the beauty of this bike.
Many other great details about this bike include the beautiful Grand
Compe stem, Nitto Silk handlebar with Nishiki & Universiade
intricately engraved on it, the gorgeous Silk fork with bi-planed crown
as well as the beautiful & rare Shimano Crane rear derailer and nice
Suntour Compe V front derailer.
Even the uncommon headset with black and chrome highlights enhance the
over all beauty. The original designers put a lot of thought into the
appearance of this bike and knocked it out of the park.
Also notice the nice lines of the Sugino Mighty Competition crank set.
The bar end shifters are the Suntour ratchet that appear bullet proof for shifting the 10 speed gearing.
The original pedals are Kyokuto Pro Ace and still look and work great.
The wheels are 27" (36 spokes) Araya Rims on Sunshine hubs. Should the
buyer choose to switch to 700c wheels this bike will accommodate them.
The cool original Dia Compe brake levers have a built in quick release and the calipers are the capable Dia Compe center pulls.
Vintage Avocet touring saddle (not original) is in excellent condition and feels pretty comfortable.
Have lots of pics and can provide more if needed.
If you are looking for perfection in a vintage bicycle that is closing in on 40 years old keep looking
and bring more money. This is not the one you are looking for.
This one has some definite wear and tear patina but is in over all good condition for it's 38 years.
It appears to be chromed underneath as you can see the chrome underneath some paint scrapes and chips.
Has one very small, almost imperceptible ding on the drive side of the top tube.
Price is firm. No reply to offers to sell for less. Would rather hang onto this nice riding, head turning beauty.
Think about what $450 will buy you at your local bike shop and if you
prefer nice vintage lugged steel bikes
then you will realize this is a fair price for a rare bike. You don't
get the beautiful details of a bike like this for $450 at your local
If you have a local shop that does I would like to hear about it.
If you find one for less in your size I would recommend you jump on that
Will consider shipping.
