1978 Trek 510 lugged steel bicycle. This is a great touring machine from the late 1970's, with excellent period components, including a very desirable Specialties TA Triple crank! The frame is constructed of Ishiwata 022 tubing with Campagnolo dropouts, which was probably a custom build from Trek. Original paint and decals, Specialties TA crank with original 50/43/28 chainrings and dustcaps, all in excellent condition, Shimano hubs, Rigida 700c alloy eyelet rims, Suntour bar end shifters, Simplex downtube cable stop, Suntour VX GT rear derailleur, Suntour freewheel with 28t big cog, which allows 1:1 gearing for excellent climbing. Shimano front derailleur, Dia Compe "G" brake calipers, Dia Compe levers, Tange headset, Sakae SR Forged 110mm stem, Jim Blackburn front and rear racks (before they were just "Blackburn", SR La Prade seatpost, leather Avocet Touring saddle. Excellent overall condition, one of the nicest vintage touring rigs you could hope for! Set up with some of the best gear available when it was built. Looks to have fairly low mileage, the chainrings are not overly worn. A vintage beauty!
