Darlene, Some people will stop learning way before 1400. I do not think it will go that long. Stay as long as you want and leave when you need to. 73 Mikepa22161
Hate to miss this! Getting an ID 51 for Christmas. We have our family Christmas reunion Saturday. Please take good notes for me. Ed WX4ED Sent fromedhoard
Will we really be learning from 0900 to 1400? Our Prepper Group Christmas lunch was rescheduled to the same day due to the snow. The luncheon is in Dunwoodyravenwood1950
This forum has been created as a place for Butts County Area Amateur Radio Operators to gather and share ideas. Individuals interested in Public Service Communications, and its use to help insure the safety and security of the Butts County community, are invited to participate.
The Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) consists of licensed amateur radio operators nationwide who have voluntarily registered their qualifications and equipment for communications duty in the public service when disaster strikes.
The only requirements for membership in this group are:
* An FCC Technician class amateur license or higher
* An interest in Public Service communications
* A willingness to serve the agencies supported in a selfless and professional manner
The possession of emergency-powered, portable and/or mobile VHF and HF communications equipment is desirable, but is not a requirement for membership.
Membership in the Amateur Radio Relay League (ARRL) is not a requirement for membership in ARES at the local level.
The Butts County Emergency Communications Training Net meets every Sunday evening at 21:30 GMT on the WX4BCA repeater located in Jackson, GA.
The WX4BCA Repeater, 147.285+ (PL Tone 131.8): The Butts County Emergency Communications Auxiliary's VHF repeater operates from the Sylvan Grove Hospital in Jackson, GA. The VHF repeater is a Bridge-Comm unit loaned to the club by AJ4GU, currently operating on split antennas.
See the Group Calendar for activity and meeting information.
Thank you for your interest.
